APIMarket CLI
Test arbitrary public APIs from a terminal, generate Markdown documentation, or print integration snippets with the standalone api-tester. It does not need an APIMarket login or application session.
Authenticated api CLI
Download the Node.js 18+ package for marketplace login, subscriptions, API keys, gateway calls, seller queues and authorized marketplace-team read commands. This is the primary authenticated CLI; apimarket is its compatibility alias. The standalone PHP api-tester above is a separate generic HTTP tester.
unzip apimarket-api-cli.zip -d apimarket-api-cli cd apimarket-api-cli npm install -g . api login --url https://24x7host.com
Expand-Archive .\apimarket-api-cli.zip .\apimarket-api-cli -Force Set-Location .\apimarket-api-cli npm install -g . api login --url https://24x7host.com
If global npm installation is denied, do not use sudo on Windows. Run node .\bin\api.js auth login --url https://24x7host.com from the extracted folder instead.
Install without sudo
mkdir -p "$HOME/.local/bin" curl -fsSL https://24x7host.com/developer-cli.php?download=1 -o "$HOME/.local/bin/api-tester" chmod 700 "$HOME/.local/bin/api-tester" echo 'export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH"' >> "$HOME/.bashrc" export PATH="$HOME/.local/bin:$PATH" api-tester --help
This installs only for your user. Requires PHP 8.1+ and the cURL extension. If you do not want to edit .bashrc, run ~/.local/bin/api-tester directly.
System-wide install
curl -fsSL https://24x7host.com/developer-cli.php?download=1 -o api-tester chmod +x api-tester sudo mv api-tester /usr/local/bin/api-tester
Use this only when you have permission to install a system-wide command and want every user on the machine to have it.
Windows PowerShell
PowerShell commonly maps curl to Invoke-WebRequest, so GNU curl flags such as -fsSL produce the error you may see. Use the site button above, or run:
$file = Join-Path $HOME "Downloads\api-tester" Invoke-WebRequest -Uri "https://24x7host.com/developer-cli.php?download=1" -OutFile $file php $file --help # If you specifically want curl, call the real executable: curl.exe -fL "https://24x7host.com/developer-cli.php?download=1" -o $file
The PowerShell download is the standalone PHP api-tester. For the authenticated marketplace command api, download the api CLI ZIP above and follow the Windows instructions.
Examples using this site
api-tester test "https://24x7host.com/health.php" \\ --show-headers api-tester docs "https://24x7host.com/health.php" --out APIMarket-health.md api-tester integration "https://24x7host.com/health.php" --lang python
These examples use this installation's public health endpoint, so you can test the downloaded PHP CLI immediately without a provider URL or provider credential.
Command reference
api-tester test <url> [options] api-tester docs <url> [options] api-tester integration <url> [--lang curl|python|javascript|php|all] api-tester help Options: -X/--method, -H/--header, -d/--data, --timeout, --max-bytes, --json, --show-headers, --response, --out
The CLI blocks local, private, loopback, link-local and reserved destinations, does not follow redirects, bounds response capture, and replaces secret-looking values with placeholders in generated docs and snippets. Requests and credentials are not written to disk by the CLI.
