How 24x7API Hub works

24x7API Hub is a marketplace where developers buy and use APIs and developers publish and sell APIs. One account lets you do both — and you can try nearly every API free before you pay a rupee.

Using APIs on the marketplace

Every step below has a "do it" link so you land on the exact page.

1Create your free account

Register with email or one-click Google / Facebook / GitHub. We email a verification link — clicking it unlocks buying, publishing and free tests. You can sign in with the same social account anytime.

2Find an API

Search or Browse APIs, filter by category and read each API’s docs, sample responses, uptime and plans. Requests you don’t see yet can be asked for on the Requests page.

3Try it free (mock sandbox)

Open an API and use the in-page console, or call the gateway with your key + X-Api-Trial: 1. You get real-looking mock answers that never touch the seller’s server and never charge you. Free tests need a logged-in, email-verified account.

4Subscribe & go live

Choose a plan (free / monthly / yearly), pay once in checkout and the key becomes live — real calls now proxy to the seller’s server, metered against your plan. Watch usage in your dashboard.

5Or buy the source code

Some sellers publish the source behind their work as a one-time package. You accept the standard licence at checkout, then download the secure ZIP from your library as often as you need. Some packages are free for verified buyers.

Selling APIs on the marketplace

1Publish your API

Sign in and open Publish API (top-right when logged in). Give your API a name, category, tagline, full docs and your real base URL. Then add every endpoint you expose, with a sample response for each.

2Set your pricing plans

Create free / monthly / yearly plans with request quotas. You stay in control — set the free-test quota buyers get (even 0 to disable free tests).

3Get approved & go live

The marketplace team tests and approves the API first. Your plans and pricing stay in review until the API passes; then the listing becomes ready for buyers.

4Track, earn & get paid

Dashboards show calls, earnings and plan status. Balance pays out through the Payouts page; webhooks can notify your server the moment an order or usage event happens.

"Which option do I use for…?"

A quick task → answer table. These exact pointers are also published machine-readable at /llms.txt for AI tools that read the site.

Common questions

Do free tests ever hit the real API?

No. Free tests (X-Api-Trial: 1 or the console) are answered locally with the seller’s sample payloads. Only paid subscriptions make live calls to the seller’s server.

Do I need a credit card to try an API?

No. Just a free account with a verified email. Sellers choose how many free tests buyers get per API (minimum 2, or they can set 0 to disable).

What is the difference between a free test and a live call?

A free test is a mock answer for trying the API — quota limited, never billed. A live call requires an active subscription and proxies to the seller’s real endpoint, metered against your plan.

Why do some features ask me to verify my email?

The marketplace gates purchasing, publishing, reviews, webhooks and free tests behind a confirmed email to keep it spam-free and protect buyers and sellers.

Can I use one account to buy and sell?

Yes — the same account buys subscriptions and publishes APIs. Publish API appears in the top bar when you are signed in.

How do I give this guide to an AI assistant?

Share the site URL. Any modern assistant that can fetch URLs will read /llms.txt for the site index and /llms-full.txt for the full task → option reference.
